OUR JUNE 6 CLASS FILLED UP, SO WE ADDED A SECOND!

American Farmhouse Classics

June welcomes an abundance of aromatic herbs, fresh fruits, and bustling farmer’s markets, so what better place to look for seasonal, summery cooking than down on the farm (and we don’t mean Bob Evans!). Sample warm and flakey Cheddar Cheese Biscuits and Herbed Honey Butter –  a melt-in-your-mouth staple of country cooking. And nothing says summer like a pot of Peach Bourbon Chicken, simmering low and slow on the stovetop. While whipping up this saucy entrée, Shawnie discusses interesting aspects and anecdotes about what “America Eats” – a Depression-era writing project sponsored by the American Government to document regional food cultures. The supper finale is an iconic Fresh Blueberry Buckle, a delicious farmhouse favorite, that falls somewhere between a coffeecake and muffin. Food, wine and recipes provided.

On the menu:

Cheddar Cheese Biscuits and Herbed Honey Butter, Peach Bourbon Chicken, and Fresh Blueberry Buckle. Wine or beer included.
