Joyful and delicious traditions of a Scandinavian Christmas will warm up any wintry night with this stick-to-the-ribs menu served on Nordic tables throughout the holidays. The demonstration begins with Norwegian pork roast (ribbe) cooked until it has crackling skin and is slathered in classic brown gravy. The main entrée is complimented with a Swedish creamy potato casserole and a sauerkraut-like Christmas cabbage (surkål). The French-inspired dessert of Riz à l’amande is a classic Danish sticky rice pudding mixed with whipped cream, vanilla, topped with almonds and a warm cherry sauce. This class will send you packing for the North Pole- or at least, the closest sauna. This class includes a demonstration style class in which you eat the completed meal, a glass of wine or appropriate pairing, and recipes.
