Summer Seafood Feast – July 19
Channel ocean breezes and salty air with a social summer seafood feast. Shawnie discusses regional differences in outdoor clambakes and seafood boils, while demonstrating how to achieve similar flavors in a stovetop version or on an outdoor grill for the ultimate backyard party. We start with an oyster amuse bouche followed with a classic seafood boil. The combination of shrimp, crab, finfish, and other shellfish are simmered in a punched-up broth perfectly seasoned with spices and beer, then served with the classic sides of red potatoes, corn on the cob, and spicy sausage. Roll up your sleeves, as the entire shebang is dumped out in a luscious heap for a truly communal (and exceptionally delicious!) feast. Ice-cold beer and a Boston Cream-inspired dessert round out our seaside menu. This special culinary event will transport you straight to the sunny shore, so join the party!  Food, beer and recipes provided.
