This Wanderlust Wednesday our picture is of the magnificent sweep of beach in Newquay, on the north Atlantic coast of Cornwall in southwestern England. This area has been settled by humans since the late Iron Age (1200 BCE) and is rich in neolithic stone circles, medieval castles, and steeped in Arthurian and grail legend. The maritime climate brings cool summers and mild winters and has been a popular resort town since the late 19th century. It is also in the heart of Agatha Christie country.
