This Wanderlust Wednesday takes us to the majestic dunes of Longnook Beach on the coast of Cape Cod, near Truro. The intro to our forthcoming book, Discover Cape Cod quotes Henry David Thoreau‘s vision of Cape Cod as “the bared and bended arm of Massachusetts … boxing with northeast storms, and, ever and anon, heaving her Atlantic adversary from the lap of the earth.” These enormous, near-vertical 125-foot dunes along Cape Cod National Seashore go to battle every day. I am perpetually humbled by this extraordinary landscape and got year ’round wanderlust for the Cape.  PHOTO: Shawnie Kelley
