The TSA Pre✓™  application process allows U.S. citizens to go through a pre-enrollment process online and visit an application center to provide biographic information (e.g. name, date of birth, address, etc.), fingerprints, payment and valid required identity and citizenship/immigration documentation. All TSA Pre✓™ program applicants must visit an application center in-person to verify their identity and citizenship/immigration status as well as to provide fingerprints.  Currently, Indianapolis is the only location with an application center, however the TSA plans to open 300 sites across the country.  By the end of the year, TSA expects to open application centers in the New York City area, the Washington, D.C. metro area and the Los Angeles area.

The TSA Pre✓ provides quicker transit through airport lanes, shorter lines, shorter wait times, improved customer experience and no removal of: belt, shoes, light outerwear/jacket, 3-1-1 compliant bag and laptop from carry-ons.

TSA Pre✓™ includes certain frequent flyers of participating airlines or members of existing Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Trusted Traveler programs including Global Entry, NEXUS, and SENTRI programs.

Airline Frequent Flyers Eligible TSA PreCheck

Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways and Virgin America are contacting eligible frequent flyers with an invitation to voluntarily participate in TSA Pre✓™. Once the passenger opts-in, the airline identifies the individual as a TSA Pre✓™ participant when submitting passenger reservation information to TSA’s Secure Flight system.
