beef bourginon

Recipes from a French Farmhouse – Jan 23  (FULL)
Beef Bourguignon, Burgundy’s traditional beef stew, is at the heart of France’s culinary culture and enjoyed throughout the country. This silky, slow-cooked mixture of meat, garlic, onions, and mushrooms in a rich wine sauce is the ultimate wintry comfort food. Learn to make a simplified, less time-consuming version of this rustic dish, along with a Tartiflette, a cheesy, bacon-studded potato gratin. Round out the menu with a warm dessert of winter fruit Clafoutis. Shawnie shares her in-depth knowledge of regional food traditions, wine pairings, cheese, and variations on the stew, while taking you on a visual virtual tour of the breathtaking countryside of Burgundy.
