Inspired by an autumn weekend at a Provençal farmhouse, our country brunch channels the low lingering sunshine, a harvest of vegetables, and the bounty of fall. Join food and travel writer, Shawnie Kelley Foy as she demos a menu of original brunchy country favorites in the rustic kitchen at Hellwig Farm. Sip on a bright Cowgirl Cocktail while learning to make several recipes using fresh, seasonal ingredients- many of which were harvested just a few hours earlier. During the cooking demo, Hellwig owner, Jennifer Boren discusses what’s in season, while Shawnie shares her experiences recipe testing for a few celebrity chef cookbooks. We’ll also chat about real food, seasonal variations on the recipes, and culinary travel, particularly through Provence.

  • Rustic 3-onion Soup with Gruyere-stuffed Mushrooms
  • Ham, Cheese, & Olive Quick Bread (and I mean really quick)
  • Crunchy Harvest Salad

Dress is farmhouse casual, so wear your wellies, barnyard boots or cowgirl kicks as we wander the farm’s back 40, around the greenhouse, chicken coop, and beehives (to meet the true queens of the farm!)

We will provide water, iced tea, and a yummy cocktail, but feel free to BYODrink.
